i don't know if they effect sales.  they do draw attention however, and they are funny to boot.

for some reason, the zero punctuation stuff annoys me, i cant undersatnd what alot of it....but I cant beleive that it would affect game sales.

A LOT of people have gotten into Yahtzee's reviews.  My girlfriend thinks they're funny and she's SO not a gamer.  It's his delivery and his self-deprecation that non-gamers like, and it makes him cross the line over from typical game reviews to straight humor.

And while none of his reviews have changed my mind one way or another, I usually find myself agreeing with what he says overall about a game I've played, and I'll admit that I found myself wondering if I could find a used copy of Painkiller cheap somewhere...

I can definately see the impact of his positive Painkiller review because that game seems to be popular on the net all of a sudden.
